Vanakkam! We are AKR and Krishna; two friends (and musicians) from Chennai. As a duo, we write, compose and produce music in varied genres and languages. Endhan Madras is our venture into the Indian Indie scene and is really close to our hearts as we wrote it at the time of the Chennai Water Crisis. Encouragement and a tribute to our beautiful city is something we felt we needed at the time, seeing as it is musical representation of an emotion we share with thousands of people" AKR and Krishna say about their latest release.
ABOUT KRISHNA K
Krishna K is an 18 year old singer-songwriter. He has been playing the ukulele for about 3 years and has written over 30 songs. He is self taught- His relationship with music is an unsteady one- but it works as an important release of emotions for him. He enjoys sharing music with people and writing songs is cathartic to him. Having a Carnatic foundation has helped him reach this level of comfort in singing and he has a very bad case of stage fright that he hopes to overcome in AKRK Music's ventures. He also enjoys playing the guitar, writing and listening to all sorts of Music.
ABOUT AKR
AKR is the pitch-perfect, all-rounder musician part of AKRK Music. He is studying music at the Bachelor's level and is a brilliant performer, composer, producer, pianist, lyricist, bassist, guitarist- the list goes on! Also only all of 18 years old- he's a prodigy and a gift to the music world! Music is his work and his hobby and there's nothing AKR enjoys more than jamming out with a crowd! AKR brings all of this and MORE to AKRK Music and is overall a gem of a human being.
